Jia Ling coordinates advocacy with the team at Shujog in Singapore.

Passionate about social and environmental causes, Jia Ling believes that harnessing the power of markets and businesses is now critical for sustainable and inclusive development.

Prior to Shujog, Jia Ling worked for the Singapore government on promoting equality and resilience at the workplace, before moving to Cambodia to pursue her passions in environmental sustainability. For about two years in Cambodia, Jia Ling worked with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to raise awareness on pressing environmental issues, with one particular campaign gathering more than a quarter million voices to call for the halt of a destructive dam on the Mekong River.

She recently returned home to Singapore and contributed to WWF’s Earth Hour – the world’s largest environmental movement – helping to coordinate campaigns that spanned 172 countries and territories, reaching hundreds of organisations and millions of individuals.

Jia Ling holds a Bachelors in Social Sciences from the National University of Singapore (NUS), where she majored in Political Science.
