
JEAN SUNG
Jean Sung is Head of the Philanthropy Centre for J.P. Morgan Private Bank, Asia Pacific. Previously, she was head of global philanthropy for J.P. Morgan in Asia Pacific, managing the firm’s corporate giving across 15 countries in Asia. In this role, she built programs and services designed to develop livelihood and workforce skills. She implemented these programs with nonprofits and multilateral partners and also initiated country-specific needs assessments, which included strategies focused on economic and workforce development as well as financial empowerment. She also initiated a tri-sector partnership program with International Institute for Educational Planning, UNESCO that supports the building of the capacity of education officials and practitioners in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam to drive systemic changes in the policy and planning of education networks to improve education equity, quality and inclusion. She is an executive committee member of Bai Xi’an Asia Institute, co-chair of The Women’s Foundation, Hong Kong; chair of Hedge Funds Care Asia, a Board member of the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children, an advisory board member of the French International School, Hong Kong, co-chair of J.P. Morgan Women’s Interactive Network (WIN) and a Member of J.P. Morgan Diversity Council. She is fluent in English, Shanghainese, Putonghua and Cantonese.
