For more than 17 years, Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) has been at the forefront of the impact investing landscape, focusing on gender lens and sustainability investments. In collaboration with Global Affairs Canada (GAC), IIX proudly introduced the Impact Investment Readiness Vietnam (IIRV) Program in 2022. Conducted by IIX, supported by Global Affairs Canada, and building on the 2025 Vietnam Impact Investment Report.

ADVANCING SUSTAINABLE FINANCE FOR
LOW-CARBON AGRICULTURE IN THE MEKONG DELTA
Time: 08:00 – 13:30, 17 September 2026
Join Us in Can Tho, Vietnam

The Mekong Delta is Vietnam’s primary agricultural hub, supplying over 55% of the nation’s rice alongside vast quantities of seafood and fruit for domestic consumption and export. However, the region faces severe climate threats, including sea-level rise, saltwater intrusion, and drought. At the same time, traditional farming practices continue to release high levels of greenhouse gases, worsening the crisis. Shifting to green agriculture is now a vital necessity, but the biggest question remains: where will the funding come from, and how will it be put into action?

To address this, Impact Investment Exchange (IIX), supported by Global Affairs Canada through the Impact Investment Readiness in Vietnam (IIRV) Project, is partnering with VCCI Mekong Delta to host an event on Advancing Sustainable Finance For Low-Carbon Agriculture In The Mekong Delta.

This event will help local businesses and cooperatives stay up to date on sustainable finance trends, share their funding needs, and voice real-world capital access challenges. Participants will connect directly with impact investors and financial institutions. A dedicated matchmaking session will also allow promising enterprises and cooperatives to pitch their business models, present their funding requirements, and secure suitable investment opportunities.
